The Seine opens to bathing this summer 2025

Following the inauguration of swimming in the Seine during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Parisians will now be able to swim in the capital's river from summer 2025.

To mark the occasion, the City of Paris has included this new feature in its ‘Paris Plage’ project, opening up swimming in the Seine free of charge from 5 July to 31 August 2025.

Le bras Marie, a swim facing the Ile Saint-Louis
Opening times: 8am to 11.30am, Monday to Saturday / 8am to 5.30pm, Sunday

At Grenelle, a family bathing area opposite Ile aux Cygnes
Opening times: 10 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday / 10 am to 4.45 pm, Saturday / 10 am to 12 pm, then 12.30 pm to 2.15 pm and 2.45 pm to 5.30 pm on Sunday

At Bercy, two swimming areas and a solarium
Opening times: 11am to 9pm, every day of the week

The supervised waters will be marked out with buoys and a pontoon for access, with areas for showering and storing gear on the docks.
